Neighborhood Watch group's take a proactive approach to fighting crime by becoming the extra set of eyes and ears for law enforcement.

South Park is a Neighborhood Watch Community. Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the participation of residents, in cooperation with law enforcement, to reduce crime in their neighborhoods. Neighborhood Watch group's take a proactive approach to fighting crime by becoming the extra set of eyes and ears for law enforcement. Neighborhood Watch Involves: 1) neighbors getting to know each other and working together in an organized program of mutual assistance; 2) citizens being trained to recognize and report suspicious activities in their neighborhoods; and 3) implementation of crime prevention techniques such as home security, Operation Identification, etc. It's all about neighbors looking out for each other! The Board of Directors encourages you to: Get to know your neighbors. Introduce yourself when you see them out. Start a conversation by telling them how long you've been living here and ask them how long they've lived here. If you see someone suspicious, do not approach them. Take note of what they are wearing and what they look like. If they have a car, try to remember the license plate number, make, model and color. Report this and their behavior to the police by calling, (408) 615-5580. If you see a crime in progress, call 911.
